Rachel is co-founder and since day one considers The Building to be a concept. A place where fashion can be translated into the hairstyles of the customers, in a nice and homely atmosphere. As creative director she knows how important innovation and renewal is in the hairdressing profession. That’s why Rachel is always on the lookout for new cutting-edge techniques, and ways to improve customer satisfaction.
As a hairdresser, creativity is most important to Rachel. She is a fashion stylist in heart and soul and completely in love with her profession. She loves to take hairstyles to the next level. Whether it's about up-do's, curls or men’s cuts, Rachel knows exactly what to do with your hair.
Rachel had international ambitions as a hairdresser from the very start. The ambitions of this experienced hairdresser were realized in the very best hair salons of London and New York. Back in the Netherlands she and two friends started The Building, and Rachel took on the role of creative director. Here she provides courses and trainings for hair stylists all over the country. Like the other co-founders, Rachel was also nominated for a Coiffure Award.
In addition to her work as creative director for The Building, Rachel also has a great passion for fashion jobs. Whether it's photoshoots for Vogue and Grazia or hair editorials for Marie Claire, Red, JFK and Viva magazine, Rachel takes care of it!
By walking around the fashion shows in Milan, Paris, London and New York Rachel has gained experience for over 10 years at the highest level. She was part of Luigi Murenos’ team, who is one of the best hair artists in the world. She shined backstage at shows of Viktor & Rolf, Gucci, Givenchy, Rick Owens and Max Mara. So we can say with certainty she has got what you need, and will make you shine like no other.
